GOLFERS at a Peak District golf club have dug deep for charity.
Members of Hope Works Golf Club have helped raise £500 for captain Mick Horan’s chosen charity, Sense, which campaigns and supports deafblind people.
Mick said: “To finish off a great year as captain, I am very pleased to pass on this money, collected through paying 50p each time any player on the Hope course landed in any bunker.
“During each home match against other golf clubs, donations were also made very generously.”
Money was also raised through raffles held by the club on several different occasions throughout the year.
“My sincere thanks go out to everyone for their great support,” he added.
