Garrity guests as Buxton Hitmen crash to third league defeat

BUXTON Hitmen went down to their third successive National League defeat on Thursday night at Sheffield.

The reigning champions are still searching for their first league win of the season after losing 50-43 to the Sheffield Prowlers, with Jason Garrity, a guest replacement for the injured Buxton number one rider Ben Taylor, top-scoring for his former team.

In a double header of fixtures at the Owlerton Stadium last night, Sheffield also beat Stoke 50-39 to climb to the top of the National League table.

The Hitmen are next in action away at Stoke on Saturday June 4 in their re-arranged second leg of the Knockout Cup, before hosting Dudley in the National League at Hi-Edge the following Sunday (June 5).
