Buxton Hitmen’s Adam Extance managed to avoid any serious injuries during the crash in last weekend’s reverse to Coventry.

Extance was involved in a collision in heat 12 when he was brought down following an ambitious move from Coventry’s Luke Priest.

The Buxton rider was eventually taken to hospital after lengthy track-side assistance, before being released later that night.

Extance tweeted following his release, saying: “Feeling sore today but happy to be out of hospital with no serious injury.”

Extance’s injury is the latest blow to the Hitmen’s campaign after skipper Liam Carr suffered a season-ending collision last month.

Buxton’s final home meeting, of what has been a turbulent campaign, has been pencilled in for Sunday October 5 against Scunthorpe.
