BUXTON Hitmen have completed their line-up for the 2012 season with the signing of teenager Richard Andrews.
The 19-year-old, who is based in Devon, was found looking for a team spot after his parent club Newport withdrew from the National League.
He began his speedway career at Newport in 2009, and the following year spent time at Weymouth.
Andrews said: “I am very pleased to be asked to ride for the Buxton Hitmen. This year my aim is to up my average and be a valuable member of the team.
“I will be starting off in the main body of the team and I intend to stay there.”
Hitmen chief Jayne Moss added: “We are pleased to welcome Richard to Buxton. He will be obviously be doing a lot of travelling but is fully prepared and is aiming to make a good impression on the Buxton supporters.”
