Latest from the High Peak Netball League

The first game of the evening was between Goodies and Kraken and it was a fast, hard-fought game with some good netball being demonstrated.

Goodies took a 5-2 lead into the break, with both Fiona Duncan for Goodies and Molly Gardner for Kracken catching the eye.

Goodies managed to hold on to their advantage, despite resistance, as they ran out 12-8 winners.

The next game was between Cobras and Taxal.

Again, this was a fast game with some good end-to-end netball being displayed as Taxal edged ahead 6-4 at the break.

The second half continued at the same pace and with Becky Wain for Cobras making some good interceptions and feeding her shooters well, it looked like Cobras might come back.

However, Taxal’s Sophie Ashmore had other ideas and her shooting enabled her side to run out 12-9 winners after a tense finale.
