Chapel’s Jack Massey is set for a busy end to 2014 - potentially having to squeeze in three fights before the new year.
The unbeaten cruiserweight next steps into the ring on September 13 at the Phones4U Manchester Arena, for what will be his fifth outing in the paid ranks.
The 21-year-old’s promoter is already planning ahead and Massey is likely to take part in another bout in October, providing he comes through this latest test unscathed.
Ahead of the forthcoming scrap in Manchester, Massey says he has been hard at work in the gym.
He said: “I’ve been working on a few things such as throwing more combinations.
“Something I also want to try is to start off faster in the first round and I’ve also been working on my strength and conditioning.”
Massey has also revealed that his management is still in discussions to stage a fight at the Devonshire Dome in Buxton, possibly in December.
He added: “That’s not certain yet but my promoter is trying to get it sorted.
“It would be brilliant for me to fight there.”
