BUxton Netball club, who recently had some Year 7 members accepted for the County Satellite Training programme, have now had four of their older players re-selected and one new player newly selected in the County Academy.

They are Hannah Ford, Emma Bennett, Hannah Owens and Gabby Storer.

The County Academy Training is held over ten sessions for gifted and talented players, in Buxton. They join players selected from Ashbourne, Chesterfield, Hope Valley and Bakewell areas.

All the girls go to Chapel-en-le-Frith High School and are members of the school team who have recently qualified for the Regional Schools Competition.

These girls have to keep improving to be selected or reselected. These players will now be being assessed to be put forward for the Regional screening day next year at Loughborough. The Club hope that they achieve this.

Training takes place on a Tuesday at Buxton Community School between 5pm and 7pm in term time.
