SATURDAY saw Buxton FC and Glossop North End book their places in the next rounds of FA competitions, while New Mills AFC ended their hunt for a league win.
Buxton won 4-2 over ten-man Garforth Town in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy, thanks to a brace from Kieran Lugsden and goals from Sam Liversidge, his first for the club, and Mark Reed.

New Mills AFC climbed back up to eighth in the Evo-Stik First Division South after securing their first league win since the end of August.
