BUXTON FC fought back from two goals down to secure a valuable league point against basement side Burscough at the Silverlands on Saturday.
The visitors led 2-0 after 25 minutes, through Mark Beesley and a Josh Wilde own goal, but the Bucks replied with goals from Mark Reed and Michael Towey either side of half-time.
New Mills AFC slipped to a 1-0 defeat away at Sutton Coldfield Town, Craig Marshall netting the only goal of the game for the visitors after 69 minutes.
There was disappointment also for Glossop North End, who exited the North West Counties League Cup after a 1-0 defeat at First Division Eccleshall.
Upcoming midweek fixtures see Buxton travel to Frickley Athletic in the Evo-Stik Premier Division, and Glossop return to NWCFL Premier Division action at Winsford United. Both games are played on Tuesday November 1, kick-off 7.45pm.
