Buxton striker Shaun Tuton has been on trial at League Two club Carlisle United this week.
The Bucks’ forward has been one of the stand-out performers this season and his form has led to United boss Keith Curle inviting the player for a trial in Cumbria.
Curle said: “Physically and mentally we need to find out where he’s at.”
“He’s been highlighted because of the goals he’s been scoring.”
Tuton is rumoured to have played in United’s 3-1 friendly defeat to Newcastle earlier this week but that is still unconfirmed.
The Bucks will be hoping that he is in their squad to face Ramsbottom at the Silverlands on Saturday.
