Buxton Town 0...............................

Bradwell 2......................................

IN A MUCH improved display, Buxton Town handed full debuts to youngster Dominic Taylor and Chris Collins-Reed.

It was almost a dream start when Nathan Wood and Mike Makoni combined down the left and Makoni’s cross was just slightly too high for Taylor, who had made a great run from midfield.

Matt Bagguley could only head into the side netting after being picked out by Mark Harris, while at the other end Martin Riley fired a shot wide and Jace Broome shot over from a free-kick.

A penalty was awarded when Makoni was sent sprawling in the box by Bradwell keeper Michael Bradbury, who redeemed himself by saving Harris’ spot kick.

Bradwell broke the deadlock a minute into the second half when Ben Maskrey found Riley and he ran clear before firing past James Barber.

Bradda upped their game and brought the best out of the Town back four of Berry, Collins-Reed, Wilding and Wood.

Craig Owen caused problems for Bradwell, but at the other end Maskrey doubled Bradwell’s advantage in the 75th minute when Barber couldn’t hold on to his shot.

Buxton: Barber, Berry, Collins-Reed, Wilding, Wood, Bagguley (Roberts), Stanway, Taylor (Biczysko), Harris, Owen, Makoni (Smith). Substitute not used: Sonde. Man of the Match: James Wilding.
