Rams to send a strong side for Bucks friendly

There’s a prestigious pre-season friendly at the Silverlands on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) with the visit of a strong Derby County side.

It is several years since The Rams took on Buxton FC, apart from the two recent DCFA Senior Challenge Cup meetings at Chesterfield.

A spokesman for Buxton FC commented: “We are very grateful to manager Nigel Clough for arranging this visit, as such matches mean a lot to our supporters and to those County fans who live around here.

“Let’s hope for another good turnout just as we had for the Chesterfield game.”

The following Wednesday, the Bucks entertain a young Nottingham Forest side (kick-off 7.45pm), before neighbours Macclesfield Town visit the Silverlands on Saturday July 27 for the annual Keith Alexander Memorial Trophy fixture (kick-off 3pm).
