THE EVO-STIK League’s AGM at Blackpool last Saturday confirmed the changes to the Premier Division membership already announced by the Football Association.

Promoted Chester FC and Bradford PA have left for the Blue Square North to be replaced by relegated Eastwood Town and Blyth Spartans.

Up from Division One North come fast-rising AFC Fylde and play-off winners Witton Albion, while from Division One South champions Grantham Town and play-off winners Ilkeston FC are the promoted clubs.

Leaving the Premier Division for Division One are demoted Northwich Victoria and relegated Mickleover Sports, Chasetown and Burscough.

However, the FA still has to consider appeals by Darlington today (Thursday) and Northwich Victoria on June 28 concerning their newly-decided status.

It was also confirmed that for the season beyond next, 2013/2014, the Premier Division will contain as many as 24 clubs, so only two clubs will be relegated next spring.

At the league’s dinner, former Buxton FC striker Jon Froggatt received the Division One South Golden Boot Award for his 30 goals scored for Belper Town.
