Ash Palmer has become the latest Buxton player to commit to the club, after signing a contract on Friday.
Palmer, 21, posted a number of impressive performances last season that drew admiring glances from clubs higher up the football pyramid.
Despite the threat of interest elsewhere, the centre-half agreed terms to stay at the Silverlands and he is now set to remain at the heart of Martin McIntosh’s defence for the upcoming campaign.
Palmer recently told the Advertiser that he was pleased with his showing in 2013-14, when he made 49 appearances.
He said: “I think I matured a lot throughout and I got a real feel for the league once I got used to it.”
Palmer, who was previously on the books of both Barnsley and Scunthorpe United, joins Craig King and Liam Hardy in signing up for the Bucks next season.
