Top teams beat the weather

HARDLY anything survived the snow and frost, but strangely all three top teams in the Premier Division managed a game.

The big surprise saw leaders Eastwood Town defeated at Cammell Laird.

This allowed second place Hednesford Town to close to within a point when they beat bottom club Leigh Genesis thanks to a Ross Dyer hat-trick.

In the play-off clash, Nantwich Town moved four points clear of their victims FC United of Manchester with a 3-0 win.

In the First Division North, newcomers Durham City maintained their unbeaten record with a 3-2 win at home to Bamber Bridge, who had beaten Warrington Town 3-0 in midweek.
