Support plea amid prize cuts and falling membership
BUXTON FC directors have decided to reduce the number of £10 prizes available in the weekly Mega Bucks draw, because of falling membership.
There will now only be six 10 prizes on offer, instead of the usual ten. The weekly 200 prize and the accumulator prize will remain unchanged.
Chairman Tony Tomlinson said: "This is the first time we have had to reduce the prizes, but I hope this will be a reminder to our supporters that our UniBond Premier Division status should not be taken for granted.
"We need supporters to take responsibility for the financial well-being of the club and they can make a big difference by each recruiting a few new members."

* Week 22 of the Buxton Football Club Mega Bucks has been drawn.
The 200 winner was B Price (10248), c/o Fairfield Liberal Club.
Winners of 10 were: 10677, V Woodroffe, Sherbrook Grove; 11540, M Lomas, c/o Lomas Foods; 10281, S Weston, c/o Fairfield Liberal Club; 10834, B Goodwin, Anncroft Road; 11479, J Howarth, c/o Compton Road Garage; 10107, N Armitt, c/o Fairfield Liberal Club.
There was no winner of the 180 accumulator prize, which now increases to 200.
The next Mega Bucks draw will be held at Buxton FC's Social Club today (Thursday).
