FA Trophy: Braintree Town or Havant & Waterlooville await Buxton in second round

BUXTON FC have been handed a home draw in the Second Round Proper of the FA Carlsberg Trophy.

If the Bucks beat Grimsby Town in their midweek replay, they will entertain Braintree Town or Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday December 15.

Martin McIntosh’s men drew 0-0 at Grimsby on Saturday and the teams face each other again at the Silverlands on Wednesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

The tie between Braintree and Havant & Waterlooville - who sit third from bottom in the Blue Square Bet Premier and 17th in the Blue Square South respectively - was postponed at the weekend due to a waterlogged pitch and will be played tomorrow night (Tuesday).

Winners of the Second Round ties will receive £6,000 from the FA’s prize fund.
