BUXTON FC could be without influential midfielder Kyle Nix for at least six weeks.
Nix, who has scored six times in 11 appearances since arriving at the Silverlands in the summer, injured his knee during the first half of Buxton’s FA Cup Third Qualifying Round replay against Hednesford Town last Wednesday.
Manager Martin McIntosh said: “He’s going to miss a few weeks, we’re not sure quite how long. He’s certainly going to be out for two or three weeks at a minimum, but it could be up to six weeks.
“It’s a big blow for us because he had been playing very, very well. But we’ve got six or seven midfielders who are all as good as each other and it’s a problem for me every week that I don’t know who to play.”
After three matches on the sidelines, McIntosh is hopeful to have Kieran Lugsden back in the squad for Buxton’s league visit to Eastwood Town on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).
“He’s got a bit of swelling on his knee, and hopefully if we get him back we will be stronger again,” the manager added.
