Prior to New Mills AFC’s home game against Grantham Town, the Derbyshire FA’s Senior Football Development Officer Liam Rooney presented Vice Chairman Andy Bowers with a certificate to represent that the Church Lane club had been awarded FA Charter Standard status.

The Charter Standard Scheme, which is a core component of The FA’s Football Development programme, is a best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League.
