NEW MILLS AFC brought the curtain down on their 2011/12 on Saturday as the club hosted its Annual Presentation Evening.

Awards were handed out on the night, including a double for James Coates, who was named the Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year.

The Manager’s Player of the Year award was presented to Luke Horrocks, with Carlos Meakin collecting The Keith McMurray Golden Boot Award.

A new trophy, dedicated to the memory of the late John Morten, was presented for the first time to Antony Field and Jordan Edridge as joint winners of the Young Player of the Year award.

For the reserve team, the Players’ Player of the Year award was presented to Mike Jodrell, with Jordan Cooper named as the Manager’s Player of the Year.

The Phil Hampson Trophy, awarded for an outstanding contribution to the club, was jointly awarded to Geoffrey Woolley, Michael Doughty and Pete Sandham for helping ensure Church Lane met the Evo-Stik League’s ground grading requirements.
