Buxton FC will open up their pre-season campaign in style with a visit from League Two champions Chesterfield.
The Spireites will make the short trip to the Silverlands on Saturday July 5 (3pm).
The game is likely to see Chesterfield manager Paul Cook pick a strong side, as they aim to hit the ground running ahead of their League One campaign.
The two sides will meet almost a year to the day of their last friendly, when Cook’s men recorded a 3-0 victory.
Strikes from Armand Gnanduillet, Jimmy Ryan and Eoin Doyle did the damage for Martin McIntosh’s side that day on a glorious opening day of pre-season action.
Other games that the Bucks have lined up in preparation for the new campaign, include the visit of newly-promoted Conference Premier side Altrincham aswell as a possible meeting with FC Halifax.
That game would be part of the deal that took defender Marc Roberts to the Shay last summer, although either club has yet to confirm a date.
Roberts was recently called up to the England C side that will play Slovenia on Saturday, before they face Hungary next Wednesday.
