Buxton have bolstered their forward line ahead of Saturday’s trip to Rushall Olympic.

Striker Tom Corner has joined the Bucks on a month’s loan from Conference North side North Ferriby United.

Martin McIntosh said after Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against FC United that he wanted to sign another forward. Read his comments here.

Corner, 21, started his career with Grimsby Town before going on to play at Ossett Albion, Bradford Park Avenue, Barrow and even experience a spell in Spain with Racing Portuense.

Corner tweeted following the move, saying: “Happy to sign for Buxton on a months loan deal.

“Can’t wait to get going and start enjoying my football again.”

McIntosh had previously stated his desire to sign Corner last season, but was unable to rubber-stamp a move.

The Bucks travel to Rushall on Saturday in second place in the division, with a game in hand on leaders Skelmersdale.
