Buxton were dealt a blow last night after hotshot striker Liam Hardy’s loan spell was cut short.
Hardy, who joined from Harrogate Town last month, bagged seven goals in nine appearances during a prolific stint with the Bucks.
His spell was extended earlier this month until the end of the campaign, but the Skrill North outfit put in their request for a recall on Wednesday evening.
Hardy tweeted shortly after, saying: “Thanks to everybody at Buxton FC, enjoyed it! Good people and good lads! All the best for the rest of the season!”
The departure of the striker is a blow to Martin McIntosh, who may now dip into the transfer market before the non-league deadline later today (5pm).
Buxton host relegation-threatened Stafford on Saturday.
