Buxton FC have announced a quartet of attractive pre-season friendlies.
Following the mid-June attraction of the Manchester United Legends game, Chesterfield will visit the Silverlands on Saturday July 6. The Spireites, under the management of Paul Cook, have promised to send a strong side.
A fortnight later, on Saturday July 20, Derby County will make their first visit to Buxton for several years and have also promised to send a team featuring some well-known names.
The next visitors to the Silverlands, on Wednesday July 24, will be another Championship club, Nottingham Forest, who will be making a first appearance at the ground.
The following Saturday, Buxton will entertain their old friends from Macclesfield Town to play again for the Keith Alexander Memorial Trophy.
Another home fixture against a League Two outfit has been agreed and is expected to be confirmed soon.
