The Bucks head to Curzon Ashton on Saturday looking to close the gap between themselves and another contender for the play-offs.

Tuesday night saw Martin McIntosh’s side get back on track thanks to a 3-2 win over Trafford at the Silverlands.

Despite not playing particularly well, the Bucks did just enough to register their first win in six games.

However, McIntosh will be acutely aware that Curzon will provide a much sterner test.

He will be hoping that the five game winless run which preceeded Tuesday is now out of their system as they prepare for the run-in.

McIntosh said recently: “Every game we lose makes it so much harder for us.

“It’s the worst spell we’ve had this season.

“We have to win as many as we can now and just see what happens because there is still a lot of football to be played.”

Laurie Wilson is poised to join Evo-Stik Premier Division rivals Belper.
