The partnership between the Buxton Advertiser and Buxton FC strengthened even further after the success of last week’s ticket offer.
The Advertiser and the Bucks teamed up to offer supporters discounted entry for the game against Halesowen.
The result saw a boost to the attendance at the Silverlands, with 78 fans taking advantage of the £1-off admission offer.
That represented over a fifth of the 382 supporters that were inside the ground.
Those that attended also witnessed a slice of Bucks history, with Mark Reed scoring his 250th goal in club colours as Martin McIntosh’s side recorded a 2-1 win to maintain their aspirations of promotion.
Buxton FC’s commercial manager Mark Shenton said: “The new partnership between Buxton Football Club and The Buxton Advertiser, with a ticket offer for the Halesowen match in the Advertiser, worked really well with over 70 tickets used.
“We look forward to continuing the partnership with the Advertiser in the near future.”
