Disley and Thornsett enter new teams in pool league
THE NEW season in the New Mills & District Pool League kicks-off on Tuesday.
A complete fixture list for the season can be found on their website, www.newmillspool.co.uk.
The league has expanded from 20 teams to 23 teams, and now includes new teams from the Mousetrap in Disley and the Printers in Thornsett, as well as all the regulars.
Also on the website is a list of AGM minutes which were passed on the night of the AGM.
These include several points which teams need to know before the start of the season.
n The New Mills & District Pool inter-league team won their first game in the Derbyshire Inter League Championship, storming to an 11-7 victory over Riddings & District.
It was a great team performance, with two wins each for Steve Bennett, Paul Edwards, Dave Cotterill, Steve Cooper and Wayne Howden.
The victory takes New Mills up to ninth place in the league.
