Dame Sarah Storey has been selected to represent Great Britain at the forthcoming UCI Para-cycling track world championships.

Britain’s most decorated female Paralympian is one of 14 riders chosen for GB.

The event takes place Apeldoorn in the Netherlands from March 26-29.

Meanwhile, Storey is in training for her world hour record attempt later this month.

The Disley rider will take on the challenge during round five of the Revolution series later this month.

She will attempt to break the record at the Lee Valley VeloPark track, which was used during the 2012 London Olympic Games, on Saturday February 28.

UCI president Brian Cookson said “I am sure it will prompt other top women riders to try to claim this prestigious record.”
