FOUR netball stars at Hope Valley College have been selected to represent Derbyshire at county level.
Having already been selected for the North Derbyshire regional satellite squad, Anna Wright, Bryony Pullman, Ellsa Pullman and Harriet Wingfield have been given an opportunity to compete at a higher level.
Coach and PE Teacher Ruth Cook said: "They are all round talented and skilled netball players who put a lot of effort into practising and honing their skills. They fully deserve the opportunity that has been presented to them."
Being selected to the county side gives the girls the chance to be selected for the East Midlands regional squad at trials at Loughborough later this month.
The trials include the chance to watch a competitive netball match at Loughborough University.
Should the girls be selected to the East Midlands team, it will provide them with an opportunity to progress to national level.
Mrs Cook added: "Their selection is a celebration of their success. It is a tribute to the hard work they put in on the court that they are reaping rewards."
