Members of the public are being invited to give their feedback on a proposal to build 275 new homes in a High Peak community.
The proposed development will be situated on land around Heathfield Nook Road, excluding the existing playing fields, and land off Burlow Road, in Harpur Hill.
Developer Harpur Homes has invited residents to attend a public consultation event on Saturday, July 20, at Harpur Hill Primary School, in Trent Avenue, between 10am and 4pm.
The company claims the development will include footpaths, parking, traffic calming and road widening where applicable to enhance the area for existing and new residents.
Harpur Homes says the project will bring capitol investment into the area and affordable low cost and low energy homes to meet local demand.
It also claims it will improve footpaths, highway safety and bus services, as well as provide additional community facilities.
At the same time the company says the development will have minimal impact on the landscape while protecting and improving existing sport facilities.
A spokesman for Harpur Homes said: “Your feedback is valuable to us.
“Please take the time to look at the draft proposals and see how this particular development could help to improve the area.
“Air your concerns and get the most out of your community by shaping its future.”
