A RALLYING cry has been launched to local community groups to make use of a sporting facility in Harpur Hill.

The Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) at Harpur Hill Primary School was built around 18 months ago, thanks to local fundraising and several grants.

It is an important and much-used facility for the school but it is also open to local sports groups and residents to use when it is not in use by the pupils.

The MUGA has been designed to be able to accommodate a variety of sports from football to hockey and more.

Any money raised by hiring out the pitch is re-invested by the school. For more information, contact Annette Blackwell or Jane Sparkes on 01298 23261.
