A walker who slipped on limestone and fell, possibly fracturing her ankle, was helped by Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.

The team were called to the Limestone Way on Saturday afternoon, October 8 to assist the East Midlands Ambulance Service with an injured female walker.

They met at Moor Lane Car Park, near Youlgreave, and descended the steep slippery footpath for approximately half a kilometre to the accident site.

The walker was treated on site by team members and an ambulance service paramedic before being taken to hospital in Chesterfield.
