Whitfield residents are being encouraged to ensure that their sheds, garages and outbuildings are properly secure following recent break-ins in the area.
An Acer monitor and an external modem were stolen after thieves kicked through the door of an outbuilding at a property on Hague Street, Glossop.
The incident took place sometime between 5pm and midnight on Wednesday, January 21.
Overnight between 4pm on Wednesday, January 21 and 8am on Thursday, January 22, offenders broke the lock off a side gate of a garden on Hague Street, Glossop.
Once inside, thieves then forced entry into a garden shed and stole a Ryobi hedge trimmer and a Makita TR2500 hedge trimmer from within.
Officers are urging anyone with any information about the incidents to contact them.
These incidents have prompted police to issue a security reminder to encourage residents to take steps to further protect their property from criminals.
