WHALEY Bridge Well Dressing starts this weekend and people are being invited to get involved.
The event runs from Saturday, June 23 to Sunday, July 1.
On June 23, from 10am to 4pm, preparations for the Well Dressing will take place when there will be mini boards for children to complete.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and the event, which is being held in the canal basin, costs £2 per child.
Between June 25 and June 30, visitors can see Well Dressing in the Making at the canal basin between 10am and 4pm and on July 1, the Blessing of the Wells will take place at Tom Brad’s Croft, Whaley Bridge canal basin at 2.30pm.
Whaley Bridge Rose Queen parade will take place on Saturday, June 30, starting at 2pm, and on the same day, there will also be an art exhibition at the Uniting Church on Buxton from 10am to 5pm.
And then on Sunday, July 1, a church service will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Rivendell House, Buxton Road at 10.30am.
