University of Derby culinary arts lecturer Leonard Cseh has been awarded the Institute of Hospitality’s top honour.
Leonard, who is senior culinary lecturer at the university’s Buxton campus, has been awarded the Fellowship of the Institute for his industry background and inspiring the industry’s future leaders.
Before becoming an academic, Leonard worked in luxury boutique hotels and restaurants in Italy, the UK - including the Michelin-starred Fischer’s at Baslow Hall - and at private country clubs in the United Sates.
Leonard, who has been a member of the Institute since his student days, said: “I come from an Italian family, so I grew up in a kitchen.
“I enjoy the teaching because you see the students progress and mature as professionals, not only as great ambassadors for this industry but also for the University of Derby.”
