Two cut free after crash at Tideswell crossroads

FOUR people were taken to hospital on Saturday following an accident at the Tideswell Crossroads on the A623.

The collision, at 11.31am, involved a Ford Fusion and a Land Rover Discovery. Both drivers had to be cut free by firefighters. The four, believed to have suffered only minor injuries, were taken to Stepping Hill Hospital.

*A 66-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, with a fractured leg following a collision on the A57.

She was riding a BMW motorbike which was in collision with a VW Golf at 3.24pm on Saturday.
