Police witness appeal after A6 crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a crash on the A6 at Barmoor Clough, near Chapel-en-le-Frith, which left a driver with serious injuries.

Emergency services were called shortly after noon on Saturday, following the collision between a Citroen C2 and a Citroen Berlingo.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to release the male driver of the C2 from his vehicle, which had ended up on its roof. He is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Two occupants of the Berlingo were treated for minor injuries.

The A6, which was closed following the accident, eventually reopened at around 5pm.
