A NEW bus service in the High Peak is set to start on April 1.
The High Peak Bus company has been formed by the merger of Centrebus, who currently operate under the name Bowers, and Trent Barton.
Both companies will hold a 50 per cent share in the venture and it is expected that most bus routes and timetables will remain the same, though there will be some minor changes to the timetables on the Skyline and TransPeak services in April.
A new range of travel tickets will also be launched during the summer.
Gemma Holt, spokesperson for the Centrebus Commercial Team, said: “This is an exciting project for both Centrebus and Trent Barton and we can’t wait for our passengers to see what High Peak has to offer.”
