A WOMAN has been flown to hospital after being trampled by a cow in a field in Staffordshire on Wednesday afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Warslow, shortly before 3.25pm.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “It’s believed the woman who is in her fifties is from Norfolk and was on holiday with her husband walking their dog when this happened.
“Unable to get a mobile phone signal, her husband went to nearby houses to call 999.
“The woman had suffered an isolated chest injury. She was given pain relief at the scene and was flown to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.”
A Community First Responder from the Wetton and Alstonfields CFR scheme attended, along with a rapid response vehicle and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire.
