VISITORS have been flocking to the picturesque Peak District village of Litton this week for the annual well dressing and wakes week.

During the event, children from Litton Primary School have been entertaining visitors by maypole dancing three times a day, a tradition that was revived several years ago.

There are also two wells which can be viewed in the village, one decorated by adults and one decorated by the children, during the week’s festivities, which run until Sunday.
