Three people were trapped in a car when it went onto its side in the High Peak this morning (Wednesday, January 14).

Firefighters from New Mills and Whaley Bridge attended St Mary’s Road, New Mills, at 7.44am after a saloon car was involved in an accident.

The crews stabilised the vehicle and released the three casualties from it by 8.20am.

The task was made more difficult by the snowy weather conditions.
