Thousands of pounds of food wasted by vandalism

Vandals caused the loss of thousands of pounds worth of food when they damaged cables in Glossop.

At around 2.30am on Tuesday, June 25, someone damaged the generators at the back of the Co-op, in Norfolk Street, by pulling out wiring.

This caused the chilling system inside the store to shut down and a large amount of food was lost as a result.

Anyone with information is asked to call PC John Keys on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
