Third body found at Bosley Mill

A third body has been found at the site of a fire and explosion at a factory on the edge of the Peak District.

Emergency services have been at Wood Flour Mills in Bosley, near Macclesfield, since Friday morning, working to locate four people missing since a number of explosions at the site, where a four-storey building collapsed.

One body was recovered on Sunday night, with another found on Tuesday. On Wednesday, three silos were removed from the site and the third body was found.

The body which was found on Sunday is thought to be that of William Barks, 51, of Leek, though formal identification has not yet taken place.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, Cheshire police and other organisations have been tirelessy searching for the three men and a woman who have been unaccounted for since Friday.

A joint investigation is being undertaken by police, the fire service and the Health and Safety Executive to establish the cause of the incident.
