POLICE are urging motorists to remove valuables from their cars following a number of thefts in the Hope Valley.
Since the start of September, police have received ten reports of cars being broken into in the Edale, Bamford and Castleton areas.
The latest incidents happened sometime between 11am and 2.50pm on Sunday, September 16 when two vehicles parked in a car park near the Blue John Cavern in Castleton were broken into. Cash and a camera were taken.
Officers are reminding motorists to remove mobile phones, cameras, sat navs and wallets from their cars and always make sure their vehicles are left secure with all the windows closed.
