Students at Fairfield Endowed Junior School have had a week of exciting historical activities.

On Tuesday, Catherine Parker Heath, from Enrichment Through Archaeology, came in to work with year five pupils.

She showed the children real Anglo Saxon artefacts which the children were invited to dig up themselves, using archaeologist tools.

On Thursday, a Viking historian visited year 6 children and talked to the about the Viking way of life, taught them a Viking song, told them a story and did a demonstration with weapons.
