BUXTON’S Stuart Corbett is preparing to get on his bike for charity next week.
Stuart is part of a team of four people taking part in a 240 mile bike ride from London to Tavistock, starting next Thursday and finishing two days later.
It is his longest challenge to date and his efforts will raise money for the Myasthenia Gravis Association, a charity he has supported with the bike ride for the last three years.
Myasthenia Gravis is an auto-immune disease which is characterised by fluctuating, sometime fatal, muscle weakness.
Stuart’s brother-in-law Steve Vanstone has a cousin who suffers from the disease and the ride is also in memory of Steve’s mum Theresa.
To sponsor Stuart, visit www.justgiving.com/Stuart-Corbett2011 or call him on 01298 22396 or 07725 804 442.
Anyone who can help with equipment for the trip is also asked to get in touch.
