A HIGH PEAK charity is to benefit from a fund raising event being supported by the parents of film director Edgar Wright and Buxton’s Variety video shop.
A raffle has been organised to win signed copies of three of Edgar’s films - Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim vs the World.
All money raised through the event will go to Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
Phil McKenna from Variety, has again been supported in his efforts by Buxton residents, and Edgar’s parents, Chris and Lesley Wright.
The winner of the first prize in the raffle will win a signed copy of all three films, the second prize is two signed copies and the third prize is a single signed copy.
Raffle tickets are £1 each and are available from Variety, on High Street in Buxton.
Blythe House offers a wide range of free and confidential specialist palliative care services and support to anyone affected by cancer or other life-threatening illness.
Over two thirds of their annual running costs, currently £600,000 a year, needs to be raised through fundraising, legacies and voluntary donations from individuals, groups, organisations, businesses and charitable trusts.
