STAFF and customers at a Buxton store have helped raise £850 in support of the Armed Forces charity Help for Heroes.
The money, collected during a variety of in-store activities, from bag packs to raffles and cake sales, was presented last week to Jayne Taylor, the mother of Royal Marine Scott Taylor who lost his life while serving in Afghanistan.
Staff member Deborah Morris said the Buxton store picked a different local charity every six months to support.
The next recipient will be Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.
“A lot of us know the family so we really wanted to do something for Help for Heroes,” she added.
