Expect Guys, Dolls and splurge guns aplenty with this new production of Bugsy Malone.

The junior and youth choirs of Mad Hatters Music have joined forces for four performances of the classic gangster musical at St Thomas More School in Buxton.

The choirs usually operate separately, performing at charitable events throughout the year including the Christmas lights switch-on, the Dickensian Market and at Blythe House.

Clare O’Neill, musical director and founder of the choirs, said: “The children learn many life skills and lessons as well as learning fantastic music and how to sing.”

Accompanying the choirs this year will be children from Harpur Hill Primary School.

Clare, from Buxton, added: “The children have had great fun working on the show and rehearsing with their specially-designed Bugsy Malone car and, of course, the essential splurge guns.”
