SHOPPERS in Buxton will have to wait for new seating for be installed in the Spring Gardens Shopping Centre.
The removal of the well-used seating prompted criticism from readers of the Buxton Advertiser who have raised their continuing concerns through the letters page.
A spokesperson for Spring Gardens Shopping Centre said: “The new seating for the centre has been constantly under review.
“Gaining approval on suitable designs and locations for the new seats is going to take time.
“We want our customers to know that we understand their frustrations and are working hard to ensure that adequate seating will be reinstated.
“However we cannot put a date on this as it stands.”
The Advertiser queried who needs to give approval for the seats and was told that the centre’s management has put the plans forward to the managing agents who will make the final decision.
